Hey Sis! (and the Brothers who love us!)
If 2024 did nothing else, it underscored this indisputable fact: Black women remain a history-making political force!
This Giving Tuesday, you can make sure our stories don’t just sit in the shadows in 2025 and beyond. You can support Black Women Unmuted – the nonprofit newsroom where every penny you give becomes a megaphone for our sister warriors who deserve to be heard.
Your donations — $10, $20 or any amount you choose — allow us to keep amplifying the voices of Black women in politics and policy-making spaces, and making what the sisters have to say available to you for free.
With your help, we can stage more virtual panels so you can hear sister experts share their perspectives on the issues. We can continue to platform sisters such as Angela Alsobrooks and Lisa Blunt Rochester, the two Black women who will serve together in the U.S. Senate come January – a first for us. We can keep you up to date on the women who embody the state and local political success that has long eluded us, such as Janelle Bynum, Oregon’s first Black congresswoman, and our newest Madam Mayor Alyia Gaskins, the first Black woman elected to lead Alexandria, VA – one of the oldest cities in America.
So perish the thought of a media landscape that lacks news about the iconic queens that Black women are. Click the donate button and make a world of difference!

With gratitude,
The Team at Black Women Unmuted
P.S. Next election cycle, Black Women Unmuted just might be reporting the history you’re making. No pressure though. 😉
